Rodeo 4x4 help
#1
I have I think a '96 or '95 rodeo. The 4 wheel drive is stuck and won't come out of gear. The only gear that I can drive in is 1st. I was told that the transfer case was bad. My question is do I have to buy a new transfer case plus a new transmission. The reaon I am wondering is because the same person told me I might. If anyone has any info about this I would sure appreciate some help. Also, if you know how to fix it w/ out buying a new transfercase or tranny that would be GREAT!! Thanks

Could be just the front axle actuator stuck, could be the t-case actuator is bad, could be a bad 4wd computer, or could be a bad t-case. Check THIS POST for some trouble shooting tips to narrow it down.
Dont know what transmission you have. The automatic has a seperate t-case so just it can be replaced. On the 5 speed it is not possible to seperate the t-case from the trans so they would have to be replaced together.
