So I was driving my rodeo and it started to make a weird sputtering sound .... I was listening to panama by van halen ( if any of you have played gt3 you'll know what I'm talking about. Took a corner a lil to fast and it started to run sluggish and ****ty and the sound was the same sound when you lug a motor real low in rpms .... Drove it less than 2 miles home and now it won't start at all. Also there was white smoke coming out ... Not to much smoke but enough... I changed the oil it was a lil low bu there was no coolant in the oil. When I checked the radiator there was absolutely nothing in it. When I went to fill it up there was a rather large leak from the water pump? I think. And now it wont start at all ... When i try to start it it makes a lil popping sound. Or really the sound when you open a pickle jar. I'm not too mechanically inclined but I need to know how screwed I am... If anyone can help a kid out it'd be great.

The concensus from what I've been told is at least a blown head gasket if the engine isn't fried. Someone suggested the timin belt broke since the water came out of the water pumP.

 

ya it sounds like the timing belt. I would replace that and the water pump right away.
