The ABS pump has gone out on my 1999 Rodeo. how hard is that to replace? I can get the part on Ebay for $80 and install it myself, or pay the dealership ~$400.

Shouldnt be too hard. Hardest part will probably be bleeding the brake system. Make sure you pull the abs fuse and have the engine running when bleeding they system. Also bleed in the order of farthest from the master cylinder to the closest.

I dont know of anyone thats replaced them. Most ppl just pull the abs fuse and remove the bulb from the dash, even with good pumps. Isuzu never got ABS right.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I did pull the fuse back when the pump went out. The only reason I''''m thinking about replacing it is because I''''m trying to sell it and figured it would sell better if nothing was broken BTW, where is the pump even located?Edited by: TNprogrammer

Its on the passenger side fender under the hood. Between the battery and firewall. The thing with all the steel brake line tubes going to it.
