out of gas dohhhh

i ran out of gas the other day on the hiway. put 10gal. of gas in and now it wont say going . it will start for a few seconds sputer then stop the engine turns over just fine but it acts like there is still no gas in the thing what gives????

Are you sure you were out of gas?


Running it low or out of gas could have fried your fuel pump...in which case adding more gas won't help.


that is my only explanation for what is happening.

ya thats what it was. i put in a new fuil pump and it started right up. this was the first thing i have dun to the rodeo but man it was ez [img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]

I assumed you pulled the tank to do so?


A friend said in a Hyundai, you flip up the back seat and there is an "access hatch" to the top of the fuel tank. THAT would make it easy!


I need to replace my fuel gauge sending unit...see the next topic below.
