My friend who works in an auto shop told me that my Rodeo sounds like it is misfiring. Being the car idiot that I am, I have no idea how to fix that, or even exactly what that means. Can anyone point me towards a fix? maybe other web sites that can help. Thanks

Could be lots of things. Bad spark plug, bad plug wire, cracked intake manifold gasket, fuel system problem, vacuum leak, EGR valve sticking, bad PCV valve, etc.

Intake gasket isnt too common of a failure on '94. Start with a tune up (plugs, wires, fuel and air filters, clean the EGR valve, replace PCV valve) and see if that helps for a start.
