The most recent mechanical problem im experiencing is overheating.Does anyone have any suggestion? I don't trust mechanics anymore for many reasons, one being, when i take it to several repair shops for diagnosis, i am told it is one thing and another shop says its another. Not to mention the costs of repair being outragous when i happen to mention it to someone that is familiar with repairing cars and hears what i paid, their jaw drops. This is the downside of being a female when it comes car problems I guess.

Weak or bad fan clutch could cause it. Depending on what year yours is it might need a new radiator. I know several ppl who have '93-97 rodeos with temperature problems solved it by replacing theirs. Over time they will build up with crud inside, especially if they arent flushed regularly.
