2001 rodeo 2.2 liter Started last week to idle 1500 rpm when started .After 4-5 seconds it will go down to normal 750 rpm.But sometimes it will go so low that i have to press the gas to keep it from dieing.Any answers?

 

could be many things of course, I'd start looking for vacuum or other air leaks, change PCV valve (which in my opinion would be the first shot, seems to be something sporadic just like that valve sometimes but not always doing what its supposed to), if anything unplug the MAF sensor and see if it is better etc...
