Clutch....again
The details of what has been going on can be found here. https://isuzuforums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1658
So one day this summer my mother and her boyfriend are getting off the highway, and when he pushes the clutch in, nothing, it''s flat to the floor. Not good, he yanks it out of gear and coasts to the side of the road. Again it was taken into the shop, and they replaced the slave cylinder. Of course she isn''t paying anything for this, at least.
All seems good, until last week, my brother was using it to go to class, he comes back to the house, I was in town that day, and tells me "the clutch feels weird". I get in it, it is nearly flat to the floor again. I check the fluid, reservoir is bone dry, just like last time except this time it was gracious enough to empty the rest of the fluid onto the driveway.
I called the dealership, asked to speak to the owner, and he stated that "you can''t warranty a clutch, because you can blow it out in a day". Like, c''mon honestly, we don''t power shift it, all they use it for is to take my little bro and step brother to hockey. I had to wait for a tow truck to come and take it back. Could it have blown another slave cyl?
Thanks a bunch

I would be looking for another shop. So far there has been nothing but trouble from what they have worked on. And not warrantying their work tells me they know they dont do the job right and just want your money.
Its possible it could be a slave cylinder again if they got a bad part (or didnt rebuild the old one right). Could also be the master cylinder. A lot of times they will go bad around the same time as a slave, pretty common for ppl to replace both at the same time. If it dumped fluid in the driveway instead of on the carpet inside though I would say slave cylinder bad.

Well we picked it up today, and it''''''''s working but the pedal is still vibrating. Of course we did not pay a penny. My mother told me she doesn''''''''t want it back until it is fixed right, but the car the dealer gave her (99 Chrysler LHS) broke and I had to tow it to the dealer with my pathy.
I was told when I brought the rodeo back the other week, that there was a brand new clutch and brand new slave cylinder in it. Since it''''s a dealer that is paying we don''''t'''' really have a choice in who does the work, or do we?
I have a bad feeling the vibrating pedal is a sign that something is wrong and will keep killing the cylinder, but I''''''''m not very familiar with transmissions.
Oh yeah I was just on a trip from ottawa to toronto and While in downtown toronto I saw a really nice looking rodeo, an LSE, have never seen that before!
