my 97 rodeo will start but come to an idle it stops running,did the gas bleeder and it shoots out gas ,but was told by another person that ,the sensor might be reading that the gas pump my not have enough pressure and thats why the motor shuts,..but my transmissiom light came on,could the transmissiom have anything to do with it also.please i need to know

 

is it doing it in park or just when ur driving ..first i would check and make sure no vacum lines are broke or fell off .then i would clean out your iac (idle air controler) should be on throtle body on ur rodeo ..as for tranz light no clue
