Hey all,

I am having trouble with activation of 4low and neutral on my 2008 Holden rodeo RA7 4jj1 manual.

if I press 4low on dash it just flashes fast. I have tried over and over how manufacturer states. Have tried slowly moving back and forwards and have tried going from 4high but will not work. Also if I press 2h and 4l to activate neutral it also will not work, red light flashes newt buttons.2high activates and deactivates and I can hear transfer case operate and clunk going in and out. Low 4 doesn’t make any noise at all on press of the button.

so far I have tried replacing transfer case actuator with second hand and it didnt change. I have replaced control module and that also made no difference. I have removed two sensors from the transfer case and bench tested and they both work correctly and I have replaced the vacuum line going from the transfer case to gearbox. I also removed front diff actuator and bench tested by powering and verified it Moved forward and back which it did. Also have checked two fuse boxes and they are ok.

any ideas on what else could be the problem?

With transfer case actuator removed I could also turn spline in transfer case and it feels like it’s moving correctly inside transfer case
