Bubble gum cards in the timing belt noise
Hello, I am trying to figure out what the noise is in the Isuzu Rodeo, sounds like bubble gum cards in the spokes of a bicycle. I am afraid that it is the timing belt? any help would be grately apreciated.
The Rodeo has 86K miles on it. and has ben regulary serviced. I am a little freeked out at the monent,., all the negative stuff on the internett about non clearance moters and broken timing belts.
Is this a little advanced warning, or should I be woried....

Many bubbling noises are created when air is trapped inside a liquid container such as the heater core. If this air is not allowed to exit the system, fluid will trap air causing a bubbling noise while the system is in operation. Maybe this is your problem.
I had a similar problem and it drove me nuts, thought maybe the transmition was going out, it turned out the shifter to go from 4w high and low was knocked slightly and it wasn't all the way in possition. So check that...see if pushing it really hard into place will stop the noise.
