Brake rotor woes
My 95 Trooper is in desperate need of brakes, and I really need to finish the half-completed job. I have the front rotor/hub assembly off. Now how do you remove the bolts holding the rotor to the hub? Do you just hit them with an impact wrench? I don't have one, and tons of PB Blaster and a breaker bar aren't cutting it. Am I missing something here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Need to drive the truck.

(sorry if cross-posting is not tolerated here. I'm desperate, and I understand the brakes are pretty much the same on a Trooper as on a Rodeo)

Been there and no u are not missing anything It took me an hour to get my drum off the rear. we even used heat but they did come off. o we did adjust the spring that adjust the shoes. I think i will take it in next time I also broke 6 lugs. three on each wheel which is common for Honda and some Isuzu's
I got them off. To remove the bolts holding the hubs and rotors together I wedged a 2x4 between a stud and the ground to keep anything from moving, and put all my considerable weight behind a 24" breaker bar. Broke a good socket, and nearly stripped one of the screws enough to make me soil myself, but got all six off on each side. Would have been a really simple task if the rotors were just held on by the wheels, like on many cars. I took it to a shop, but they wanted $1000 to do everything they said it needed - pads and rotors all around, fluid flush ($70!!!), one new caliper. I did it for more like $300, not counting all the PB Blaster, a tub of grease, three old t-shirts worth of rags, and a broken socket. Pretty pleased with my own amateur self. My post in the Trooper section is a bit more detailed, if you are really interested in brake jobs on 15 year-old cars.
