Question Battery or Worse?

Hey I'm new to the forums and I just have a general question bout my awesome rodeo.

I have had my rodeo for about a year and have had no major issues. Past two days I have had trouble starting the car. Need a Jump etc. It will start if all the doors are closed. If one door is open all the lights flash and the car won't start. Please tell me this just means I need a new battery?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I wish someone answered your question because I had that problem with my 96 Trooper and I would pop the hood and wiggle the battery cables to get it to start. I always felt like the cables were loose at the other end or something but I never found out because the problem stopped.

Lightbulb Turns out

Turns out it was the battery and the cable connecting to be battery. So I got a new car battery and the mechanic replaced the cables and ever since then I have had no problems. If you wiggle them to get car to start sounds like a connectivity issue. I suggest replacing them and see if that works!

Thanks! I appreciate the reply. Actually just talked to a different mechanic yesterday about the repair and I suggested replacing the battery and cables. What battery did you go with? I'm actually having issues finding a good mid grade one. The entry levels I've seen are $89 but the next level up is $189. I don't want to go so cheap but I also don't wanna spend $200

I totally understand! I am the same way...I forget which one is in there...but it was the the middle price range. Don't want to spend to to much.
