my 99 rodeos rear lock is broken and I cant unlock the rear hatch ....... anyone know how I can get the door open?

 

take a pair of small vise grips and take the glass latch off and the glass will open, then take the 2 screws out of the panel by the lock for the glass then carefully pull the panel back (you can break it ) once it is out of the way then grab the back of the lock and push the rod and unlock the glass so it will release the latch and the gate will open then you can fix it
