Hi all,

I have a '92 Rodeo with a 5 speed. Strange starting issue: when I depress clutch to floor, turn key, all idiotslight up, but just one click, no start. If I try it several times, (usually three) it starts as normal. Its usually good then for three or four stops, and starts first time.

I'm worried that one of these times, its not gonna start. Any ideas?

By the way this is my first post, and I am new to the group, but so far it looks like a great forum!

Thanks, SMcD

Sounds like a starter at fault. Sometimes the contacts internally wear out and cause it to just "click". Try an aftermarket starter.

my guess would be the clutch sensor located on the upper part of the pedal, i have had it go out on all three of the isuzu's i have owned, the quick fix it to disconnect it, cut the wires and hook them together, i have done it every time and it works every time, hope this helps
