Yep, i have used synthetic engine oil every since i got my 94 Rodeo, i always use Mobile 1, generally 10w-30, on occasion if it is going to extremely cold out side i will switch to 5w-30, but i reccomend 10w-30, as far as the transmission i also use synthetic, but i have a manual trans, i use Mobil 1 15w-50 in the trans and it seemed to make shifting smoother, hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the reply. Did you notice any better gas mileage with the synthetic?Or have you everused conventional oilin that car to compare? I know when I switched to mobil 1 in my z28 I got a couple extra mpg.Edited by: passport105

Yes, i actually gained about 1 to 2 miles per gallon on average in the city, and probably about the same on the highway, i also gutted out my catalytic converter about a month after which also helped my MPG
