Hi, I'm a new poster to this forum:
The Temperature Guage on the dashboard does not work.

Because I can't find the tempurature sensor I can't troubleshoot the problem.

What looks like the sensor has air hoses going in and out of it.

Can someone tell me where the tempurature sensor is on the 4ZE1-A 2.6 Petrol engine?

Thanks.

Looks like its under the intake manifold directly below the thermostat housing.

Thanks, I found the little devil, I can't imagine getting it off easily, i can hardly get my fingers to it.

I'm still working on the problem of a non functioning tempurature guage on the dash.

I was trying to head butt this and have created another problem.

I disconnected all the connectors to the ECU, now I can only start the engine by towing the 4WD because just using the ignition key seems to flood the engine, a strong smell of fuel.

Even having started the engine it run's very rough on idle.

Any spare thoughts?
