Default 1996 Rodeo High Idle After Warmup

Hi!

I have a 1996 rodeo, v6 automatic transmission. The truck idles fine until about 20-30 minutes of driving, then it begins to idle up high... over 2k rpm. I replaced the throttle position sensor and it ran fine for a couple of weeks, but its doing it again. Before I go out and buy another tps, iac, and egr I thought I would ask to see if this is a common occurrence and if anyone had an insight as to why. Is there a trick to solving this? It's driving me crazy, thanks!

The only thing I can think of is the ECM reading the idle settings wrong. Or there is a good possibility you have an intake leak.

Whatever you say.

OP, check for any leaks, especially vacuum.
