I recently bought a beater 1993 Isuzu Rodeo with high mileage. It ran and drove great up until the other day. When you come to a stop after driving, the transmission stays in the highest gear that you were in, and will not automatically downshift. If you manually downshift into first, it will drive fine. You just have to upshift manually. It only does this when the vehicle is warmed up. When it is colder, it will up and downshift normally with no slipping or problems. I have a Haynes manual which has a full list of engine codes, but no listings for transmission codes. Please help!!
