Default 1992 rodeo A/C

The A/C in my rodeo doesn't work, so I'm gonna just un hook it. Can I re route a smaller belt without removing the compressor, or will I have to remove it?

On my 99 3.2 it looks like you can. If you have the 3.1 in your 92 they are in the same place. It looks like its a very tight for you to avoid the AC compressor. I would just just disconnect the electrical connection to the compressor, That will leave the compressor to free wheel and it will not kick on. That will save you some HP and gas. The AC compressor doubles as a dehumidifier for defrosting your windshield even without freon. Its your choice.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply Thundare. I live in the Mojave Desert, so I'm not real concerned with defrosting. Looks like I'm on my way to get a shorter belt.

Wow maybe you should get the AC recharged, Idk how hot it gets bug judging by the name it does get warm.
