91 pick-up. blower motor went out at the same time fuel, brake and battery lights came on. what would cause all these problems to happen at the exact same time. 2.3 liter engine.

fuses ok. really need some help on this. it's getting cold going back and forth to work.Edited by: jburgess

i have a manual for the truck but since the blower motor requires tearing out the radio and other under dash stuff, i thought someone might have encountered this problem before. i checked another isuzu web site and found the same problem to exist but the only answer i got to my question was "this site is for heavy duty trucks only". a lot of help that was.

could one of the heater relays in the fuse box under the dash be faulty causing this problem?

i don't know a lot about relays but could a faulty relay also cause the above mentioned dash lights to come on?

can these relays be checked out using an ohm meter?

has anyone else suffered this kind of situation and if so, what was the resulting problem?

i pulled the blower motor out and wired it direct to the battery. the blower motor functions properly.

i checked the voltage at the fuse box and it was good.

i checked the voltage at the connection to the blower motor and can't get any voltage. somewhere between the fuse box and the motor, i'm losing voltage. the dash lights are still on but i ran a wire from the battery to the blower motor and put an in-line switch bewteen the seats so i could at least have a defroster and heater due to it being cold outside.

i would still like to know if anyone has had this problem and what was the fix.

the blower will not work when wired normally and the fuel, brake and battery lights are still on on the dash cluster.

bad alternator, blower gets its voltage from the alt regulator when running.luckly yours is carburated, the fuel injected ones wont start if this happens cause of the fuel pump also gets power from the regulator, replace the alternator
