Question New Member with Rodeo questions(Blown head gasket)

Hello every one. New member here. I just recently (3)days ago bought a 96 Rodeo. When I bought the vehicle, the guy replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, and timing belt.

Well here are my questions. The trans lines going into the bottom of the radiator are dripping slowly. Think I got those tight now, but you can tell it has been doing that for a while, there is all kinds of oil and grim underneath the belly. Is that a common thing for those fittings coming off the trans line to the cooler to drip.

Second question? I believe I have a bad head gasket as well. Here are my symptoms, 1) some smoke coming out of the tail pipe. 2) when i get done driving, there is a little smoke from under the hood and smells kinda like radiator fluid. 3) when setting idle for a period of time, the temp begins to rise.

well if the rad, water pump, and thermostat were replaced, why do i begin to run hot during a long idle period. So i'm leaning towards a blown head gasket.

any help or comments would be appreciated. Thank you

-Randy
