Default New Here

Just wanted to stop here & give a bit of backround on myself. Have been a member of an FJ Cruiser forum for many years, since 2007, & have picked up information from that site that was spot on when building/maintaining my FJ Cruiser. It's been a great time wheeling with my FJ over the years but I think now with over 225000 miles on the ticker it's time to move on. Years & years ago I owned a 1990 Isuzu Amigo XS. 5 speed with warn lock out hubs. Loved that truck every day I drove it. Ended up totaling it in a winter-black ice accident. Ever since I've been on the look out for another just like the one I had. Didn't really go for the 2nd gen, although it did have the V-6. Well now that I'm on the hunt for something "New to me", new. I've decided that I want the koolest (in my opinion), SUV out there... The Vehicross. Always loved the look, but needed more room inside for storage. I'm what people call a "prepper", not a nutjob prepper like the people you see on TV shows, just someone who is ready at a moments notice to get off grid asap. This is what I've always set my FJ up for. The mindset I have right now is "smaller/quieter" During a random ebay motors search the Vehicross idea hit me the way it did when they first came out. Now it looks like there are several to choose from that are not too far away & with the after market offerings (Calmini), I think I can build exactly what I'm looking for. Sorry for the long drawn-out story, I'm just really fired up to get into this project & looking forword to the information that I'll find here on this forum & it's members. If it's even 1/2 as good as the FJ forum it'll be more than enough. OK, Just say'n Hello!
