Hi all,


I have just purchased a 1998 4 door, 4wd Rodeo and until very recently I was really excited! I have not received yet as it is being cleaned etc.I have read some horrible reviews about this SUV and am now not so excited and very leery of my purchase! I paid $6000 incl. taxes but have to preform the safety (I will need a sway bar link) and etest myself. The body is in superb shape and undercoating has been doen yearly by the previous owner and there is approx. 180,000 kms on her! I have now been hearing about numerous problems with the rodeo and thought I would ask all recent owners of a 98 Rodeo to let me know what they think of their Rodeo and what I will have to worry about!!! I have a 96 and have never had any problems at all.


the only thing i dont like is that they are notorios for engine noise and don't get the greatest gas mileage.


other than that, they're great cars.

 

Thanks, but are 96's very similar to 98's?? I am, for some reason, VERY leery and nervous!!! EEEK. This is my first real purchase for a used vehicle and am very apprehensive. Thanks though, its nice to hear that people are happy!

lol you're lucky - i got my 96 for $7500 in march of 05. you got a good deal ... well, of course mine had barely 68,000 miles on it (109,000 kilometers)
