Hello everyone, I am the original owner of an amazing 2002 Super Trooper. I love my trooper, despite all the recent repairs, and all the peer pressure working against me, telling me to get rid of the thing. My Trooper has 150K and the engine is going strong, minus the oil leaks and the terrible gas mileage. Ok, my display sometimes lights up like a Christmas tree. The Check Engine light is a constant sight nowadays, and quite the conversation starter when friends an family right next to me.

I am lucky in that I have a great mechanic. He helps me keep my Trooper going. Repair parts are difficult to find, I am down to only 1 window working. Well, 2 are working, I’m just afraid to use one of them, long story don’t ask. Everyone thinks I am crazy for holding on to my trooper. My wife just shakes her head at me for dumping money into it. Yeah yeah I know, it makes no sense, but I love my Super Trooper. Ok fine, My name is Brett and I am obsessed with a Super Trooper. There, I said it. Can you blame me though? The Trooper is so easy to drive, the captain seat is tall and it makes you look taller (LOL). I hope I get another 150K out of the Super Trooper. Maybe then, I will donate it to the Isuzu Trooper Hall of Fame Museum. They have one of those right?

 

I want to keep my trooper too I hope I can find a transmission and get it fixed. I'm a mechanic who was a transmission guy he passed away when she was still here. He'd be able to fix it with no problem for about a 1000. I got a 2002 limited my wife thinks I'm crazy, But I love this truck.

I love my super trooper man. I’m down to 1 working window, the ac went and it’s leaking oil again, aside from that it runs great LOL. Still, I’m gonna drive it as long as I can. They are so wonderful to drive. Love the visibility from the driver’s seat. It’s a safari truck. I don’t like any of the new SUVs.
