Default Help!!! 4cly vs 6cly in first gen trooper.

Hey guys I am a newbie to troopers, and am looking into getting a first gen, and have a few questions. I was wondering if 1990 was a good year for them or if it should be avoided for some reason. My main question is 4cly vs 6cly in manual troopers. was one more reliable than the other? did the 4cly have enough power for what the trooper was built for? how many mpgs does the 4cly and the 6cly get? is there a huge difference which one would be better for a DD/weekend warrior/expedition rig?
I found a nice 4cly one but it has 224k and another 4cly one but its a little more beat up and need a slave cylinder redone on the brakes? It only has 158k but is an 88 not a 90. I also found a nice looking 90 in black that only has 124k!!! but its a 6cly that's why i ask mostly wondering about the dif in power and gas mileage.

Thanks guys.
