94 amigo with elect problems

just today i replaced my alternator and is workin good,it charged up very quikly..
now the problem is that i can turn on the engine by turning the ignition.and when i try to turn it off,i turn of the switch and pull out the key but the engine stays on and wont turn off...
it shakes alot too and the exhaust smells rich..
any ideas?
