Hi,wondering if anyone can provide any info on the following: I have an ''04 3.5 direct injection Rodeo.A couple times a month, it seems to get "stuck" in what feels like 1st gear soon after I start it up and try to drive off.When I step on the gas pedal,i can hear the engine rev, but the car doesn''t go anywhere.It''s almost like stepping on the gas when it''s in neutral.It will last maybe 10 seconds,then finally get into gear and move how I want it to.It''s been doing this for a coupleyears,and occasionally the check engine light will go on.I''ve taken it to the dealership a couple of times,they say they check all the trouble code sources and nothing seems to be wrong.I''ve descibed the problem to them,and they''ve test driven it for a couple days, but still don''t know what''s wrong.As I said, it only happens a couple times a month.Last time the tech told me they''ve heard of these types of prolems with the direct inj. engines of ''04 Rodeos,but could not help.I have about 10,000 miles left on my power train warranty, so it would be nice to resolve this by then, but at this point seems hopeless.If you know anything about this, please advise.
