I have a ''93 trooper LS V6 3.2 Liter 5 speed. During idle the engine will rev up and down between 1000 & 2000 rpms will also do so when only the clutch is in duringdrive, i.e. coasting.Any suggestions about possible solution, beforepaying for a diagnostic.I am thinking there might be a problem with the O2 sensor, but not sure? Any help would be great.

I had the same thing (''89 RS) after I got my system cleaned. After talking with some friends we came to a O2 sensor conclusion as well. But my O2 sensor is only a few years old and it only does it at random times.

That''s all I can give in terms of advice. stick with your gut.
