I have a 2001 Trooper and recently had all the brake pads replaced. The front rotors look nice and shiny after braking and the brake pads cover the entire flat surface of the disc rotor. However, the rear rotors look much different. The entire braking surface of the rotor is not being used. So when you look at the rotor you see a unused (not shiny) area about 3/4" in width right next to the outside perimeter of the rotor. Also, there is a another 3/4" area (not shiny) on the rotor right next to the hub. Is this normal on the rear rotors? I took the vehicle back to the shop that did the work, and they said everything is normal.

Really?
