Default question about 4 wheel drive

i broke one of my auto hubs on my trooper a while back and replaced them with warn hubs and everything has been great.the other day i was just easing up a slick hard surface and my right hub started making a clicking noise much like it did when the auto hub broke and my front wheels stopped pulling.could someone tell me what this could be and where should i start looking to find the trouble.the clicking sounded like it was coming from the right front wheel.

could be a cv shaft. Does the clicking only happen when you are in four wheel or is it all the time also is it when turning or all the time.
