Default oil leak/pressure problems

Hi,
Can you please help me, I have just bought a trooper 3.1 TD, the engine sounds sweet it has just had a new cam belt and been recently serviced, but the is a problem with oil leaking: pumping out of the dip stick tube, if i take the oilfiller cap off the pressure seems really high and oil spurts out. any ideas what this is and how it can be sorted?

thanks in advance

Roland

Oil leaks could be as a result of crankcase breather when the pressure in the crankcase increases. Usually, the weak spot is the front oil seals but if it has been badly blocked, I think the other sealers would blow as well.

I am almost certain that your problem is with the crankcase. Check if the dipstick rises when the engine is running-this is an easy way of identifying whether the breather is not functioning well.

You can sort this problem by replacing the breather box or by cleaning it since it may be clogged up with oil. Hope you get the problem sorted out!
