Ok, So First post. I have a 1990 Trooper. The engine is screwed. What engine can i put in it with out any mod. I have researched all over and i read a 3.1 will work but everyone says go with 3.4 but i just want a direct bolt in. Also read a lumina van will work but what model or year. Please help. Thanks

 

They are not all interchangeable with each other. What motor was/is in it?

 

It has 2.8 gas

 

And also, a friend of mine has a 92 with 3.2 dohc and his motor is toast, he was thinking rebuild but not sure on price, and cant seem to find a used one, is this motor used in other vehicals as well and is a bolt in.
