towing hitch?

hi everyone. just bought me a 94 xs. manual .i have noticed that there is 5 holes in the rear bumper probably to attach some sort of towing adapter? where can i buy this? can you pull a 1500-2000 lb trailer with that system or should i just go ahead and order one of those real trailer hitch with two attaching point that goes to the frame. thanks.

Order a new Frame hitch. It is well worth it, go to www.jcw.com. They can be a pain to install some times. You have a very short wheel base of 92''. I believe the max weight will be 2000lbs. MAX weight, with a short wheel base like that I would be very carefull. Your engine only produces 120hp with engine torque of 150ft-lbs. You are not realy set up for towing, but you do have a small capability, trailer brakes always help. Good luck and have fun.[img]smileys/smiley20.gif[/img]Edited by: Keefbikes

thanks. i ve ordered a hitch from jc whitney. great service. my boat is very small and light so should be fine. (i hope) i think 1bout 1600 lb.i don't have time to install the hitch yet we will see how is that going to be. fingers crossed
