Hey,

I''m a new driver looking to purchase myself a first car. My parents are not helping me out at all, so I''m on my own (meaning budget is tight). I''ve always had a thing for small SUVs and the Amigo seems to fit the criteria of being affordable, cool, fun to drive, and customizable. Thoughts? Should I go for it?

ok my opinion, def yo. i mean there just incredible little suvs. i honstly wouldnt trade mine for anything. your gonna have two options, the four banger, or the v6. personally i would go for the six based on thats what i got, and it just amazin. they have great power stock, and im findin that there are a lot of aftermarket parts out there for them, some are just hard to find. the only downfall, which i really dont see as a downfall but some people do, is gas millaege is a lil bit on the lower side, i average about thirteen miles a gallon, but i got mine pretty heavily modified performance wise. you could probably expect to get around sixteen to eighteen on average. so yupp i would def say totally go for it. there amazin little suvs. you wont regret it

Yes, yes, yes. The only thing i would recommand is don't purchase an American made Isuzu, there trash. Only Japanese, but like any auto buy with your mind not your heart. I love mine.

Default buy it

I bought my first car last August here in Tucson. It was a 1999 Amigo V6 4WD automatic. I love it to bits. It gets about 19 to 20 mpg on the highway. I've taken it off road lots of times with three people and lots of gear and it performs superbly.

Get one if you can!

I bought mine this past jan. with 87000 miles, love it. 2000, V6, 4x4, auto with a hard top, gets 16-17 mpg and is a blast to drive. Replaced the factory sound system with the help of crutchfield.com, removed the rear seat for easy bike carrying and installed neoprene seat covers......just b/c I wanted them. Perfect vehicle!
