I got a few questions
Hey everyone I'm new.
So I just bought this 1994 Amigo 4x4 and so far I love it.
I am wondering a few things, first it has 197k on it with care can it keep going or is time running out? Next I noticed that they sell a chip to increase hp and gas mileage. Now the ad claims that this is better for the motor but is it? If anyone can help me out on this that would be great. Thanks

If by "chip" you are referring to the $30 or less job on E-bay, it is a hoax. ( That I fell for last year! )
Absolute junk.
As to the milage, it is "russian roulette" with any vehicle, reguardless of brand. True, some have a better history than others. And I have seen many, many V-6 Troopers & Rodeo's with over 250k mi. on htem, but very few Amigo's. Not sure why.
We own a '92 Amigo 2.6L 2wd w. atot trans and it has 147xxx miles on it.
We also own a 1994 Trooper, 157xxx mi., 3.2L V-6, 4X4, 5-speed MUA-5 transmission, 4" lift, 33x12.50x15 Remington Mud brute tires (New last month) and custom super heavy duty Safari rack is being built for it in the shop.
As you can tell, not much activity on this forum. There are ALOT more active forums out there!
Wish you the best.
