I have a 2000 and the check engine light comes on when the fuel light comes on and is below 1/4 of a tank. Once filled up and running it will eventually go away. I don't know of that the issue but I have experienced this.

Great, Best of luck, and when your trying to sell don't forget to show the statement on the gas cap about the engine light, this might also help sell it.

ok 2 things isuzus are really sensitive when it comes to plugs, have seen many come in to the dealership with a cel and a misfire code but appears to be running fine replace with factory plugs and it never comes back, the other thing with the 4 cyl engine its notorious for the head gasket leaking particularly on the #4 cyl

there is some more things also, cam sensors and when you have the plugs out look for carbon tracked wires they are bad about this, I have seen more vehilcles with cam sensor failures. Also if it is a cam sensor and you don't replace it, it may melt and get into the timing gears on the cams and then you will have major problems

after the cam sensor is change you must do crankshaft position sensor relearn, to do this you need a tech 2, or take it to your isuzu dealer and let them know you changed the cam sensor
