My '98 Amigo 2.2l recently started making a noise in the engine, it sounds like a super fast pecking which I automatically thought was the cams knocking. I haven't driven it since it started. I got a loaner diagnostic from a local auto parts store and the only code I got was for the camshaft position sensor which kinda made sense from the noise location (top of the engine). I replaced the cps which was expensive a $186.00. But after installing the new sensor I still have the knocking sound. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? I appreciate any info.</span></font>
