Ok,

Here is the situiation.. Just got in my Amigo, hasn't been started in a week.. started fine, and all, drove down to the bank (about 1.5 miles) and on the way noticed that the battery light and the abs light were flashing.. sometimes at the same time, and other times in turn. I figure the Alternator must be going, has a brand new battery. Any Ideas?

also..when I turned the key to the off postion, the battery light is now staying on... what's up with that.. motor isn't running.. could I have gotten a bad battery?

Thanks for any input.

I did swap the battery now with a known good, and thing still acts the same... I'm hoping its just the alternator.. those wiring issues can be a real bugger!

again, any input would be appreciated.

Just to follow up.. it ended up being the alternator. Replaced it with new, and issues went away. when I pulled the old one off, I gave the shaft a spin, and it was quite ruff. Don't think the bearings were gone, but something in there was having issues...

anyway, best of luck to the next person.
