I found the top bolt on starter broke off in block How can I extract there is no room use a drill any ideas? I have a new starter ready to replace

Use a long drill bit and turn thedrill direction in the direction that will turn the broken bolt out. It shouldn''t be rusted or seizedwere it will not come right out with a little luck and turning in the proper direction. I removed a head bolt the same manner.

 

How did you get the drill bit to grab the bolt?

 

The bolt began to back out!!!! Luck
