Hi,

Someone just offered me a 98 Trooper in trade for a van I own. I was wondering what the truck is worth (and best method of selling it as I don't really need another car).

Other than liking the way the Trooper looks I really don't know much about them. This is the description the owner sent me:

the truck runs and drives excellent. new goodyear wragnler rts p255/70/16 new brake pads in front/ last week / excellent cloth seats, very little wear, body very straight, silver metallic paint with new spare on rear. alloy rims ,fm/cass ractory, push button 4/4 w/low range . good a/c , cruise, auto, elec windows, tinted rear glass/factory/

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!

Thanks

John

How much does he want for it and how many miles does it have? Do you have pic of it? What trim is it?

He was asking $4700/offer. It has 160K highway driven miles. He bought it from a lady who used it to drive to their cottage. It's the LS trim level. New tires, brakes, non-smoker, no rips or tears in seats. Body is said to be in excellent condition (except for a scratch on near the gas-filler door).

Your car is probaly newer than 98 because during 98 and 99 they didn't have a LS trim. So your car is probaly between 2000-2002 year. I think it is worth it if your car is 2000 or newer but 98 is kinda on the edge. How is the maintenence on car? Has it been in an accident? What options does it have? (4wheel abs, sunroof, multi disc, etc) Does it leak or burn oil? If everything above is good then it sound like a decent deal.

I'm fairly certain it's a 98. The title apparently says it's an LS on it, so that's all I know.

When you say, "98 is kinda on the edge" do you mean the 98 is not a good model year?

Is it worth at least $3500?

Thanks

Try bargaining <3.5K....why? because of the high mileage. 160K says it all.
