95 Trooper 4wd 3.2 DOHC - I know there are experts out here who can tell me what these things mean. It IS leaking or using about a quart of oil a week. Apparently it only seems to leak during driving. On start up the oil pressure is fine-it has always run low. After it warms up, the pressure drops to big ZERO at idle such as in park or at a stop, while driving its just fine.

My thoughts (which could be way off) were that it has a very tiny leak and so when the oil is thick and cool-no leaking-once it warms up-its thinner so then it begins to leak maybe causing the pressure drop. Or once it warms up-some valve (maybe the oil pump pressure valve if there is one) is stuck. Or it could be something serious like a head gasket leak, right? i should test the oil pressure with a mechanical tester first right? I dont know where that hooks up but I guess i can try to read up on that.

Any help or suggestions-APPRECIATED
