I just purchased an 02 automatic 3.5 Trooper. Everything looks great except after I drive it I can see fluid dripping from underneath. It only looks like 10 or 12 drops each time. The truck only has 105,000. Has anyone had any leaks to speak of? I plan to get under it tomorrow but I would like to have a place to start. BTW the transmission doesn''t slip whatsoever.

it''s right next to the park neutral safety switch. as a matter of fact the fluid leaks onto this switch. what is this?? i can''t tell if it''s the transfer case, torque on demand etc.?????

Is the leak on the passenger side of the transmission? If it is, this is a known issue with these transmissions. There is a roundactuator that WILL at some point leak at that location. Have a ''01 Trooper and have had all the possible issues with the crappy Chevy transmission.
