ticking noise
My 1996 trooper has 120000
miles on it and it started ticking on the upper part of the motor. I
use to go away but now after it runs a bit it just get quiet but
doesn''t go away. the highest that the oil pressure goes is 80 that is
on the freeway. What could it be and what are my options? </span>

This is a common trait of the 3.2L engine. It''s not really something to worry about as long as it continues to ''quiet down'' after the engine warms up. There was a ISUZU Tech recommended treatment that I tried, but it didn''t really help. They suggested using Mobil 1 0-30W oil in it for some period of time. This was supposed to clean out the carbon buildup on the lifters etc. Didn''t see any improvement in my case. Just keep taking care of that engine, and she''ll serve you lots more years or miles.!!!
