Default Should I buy a trooper?

Hello. I would like input from trooper owners as to why you purchased a trooper rather than another vehicle. I am wanting to get another vehicle and narrowed my choices to a Cherokee or a Trooper. I've had several jeeps but never a trooper. I am only considering a 1st gen. Trooper-I like their look.
The vehicle will be a daily driver and family fun four wheeler.
Thank you in advance for your opinions & perspectives.

I love my 2nd generation 2000 Trooper, it was more truck for less money compared to a 4Runner at the time. I had an 88 Cherokee before that, which was OK.
The main problem with Isuzu's now is parts availability.

I've never regretted buying my Troopers. I was introduced to a first generation Trooper by an old Army buddy of my husband's. Shortly afterward I bought my first gen Trooper and when that one had 300,000 miles on it I bought a second gen Trooper and it now has 200,000 miles. It's been the best choice I ever made. Getting ready to sell this one but unfortunately cannot buy another Trooper or I would. Mine is a 2001 Manual 5 speed 3.5 liter engine and is in primo shape. I've bought it brand new and I've maintained it to the max. All records and history available if interested. Our boys are grown now but we went camping and hiking and on road trips many times over the years with no problems.
