I''m looking at a 86 Trooper with 120m on it. What are somethings to check for?

 

Is that 120K miles? That''s low miles on a Trooper that old!!! My ''89 has 238K.


If that''s the actual miles, then rubber items like hoses, bushings, belts, etc. are likely to be the main issues. They break down regardless of miles. Wear items ought to be in pretty good shape.


I don''t know much about carburated Troopers - mine has EFI.

 

i had an 87 carb 2.3l. i put 3 head gaskets on it.3! it was underpowered and i was working on it constantly. i scrapped it out and bought a 91 EFI. night and day difference for the better. dont waste your time on that those carbed troopers. you can pick up an efi for a thousand bucks all day long.
