Hey everybody! I'm new to the forum here and hoping one of you might be able to point me in the right direction.


I havea '93 trooper 4x4 that needs a lot of work. I'm having a hard time finding front CV axles...?????

Are you sure you need the new axles, or are the boots just torn? On my 1994 Trooper, I took it to the dealer to fix the sunroof motor, and suddenly my boots were shredded! Nice clean cuts too... I was under the truck just a few weeks before and saw no damage to them... anyway, since the wound was so new, I chose to ignore the dealer''s request for $500 to replace the CV''sand instead bought split boots from the car parts store for about $20 and cleaned/repacked the joints myself...then installed the new boots. Haven''t heard or felt any repercussions since! Otherwise, the CV''s are readily available via parts stores for I think about $200 or so a set.
