what is the best thing to do for a 2001 trooper that has a busted cylinder that's burning oil inside that results to a lot of smoke coming out from the muffler on top of a knocking sound which I think resulted from a diminished oil supply. I didn't know that I have to fill it with motor oil almost every week. Can anyone help me with this?

that sounds like a busted head gasket. you should check the oil and see what color it is, if it looks like cofee then you should stop using your trooper because it has a bad cilinder head. you can also check for exessive pressure in radiator when the engine is still cold, and for oil in the coolant.

If you dont find none of those, then it can be a busted piston ring, or a loose spark plug.

if none of those checks results positive, then consult a mechanic.

good luck
