I have an 01 trooper and recently, every time I press the brake pedal, the parking lights come on. Also, when I turn the park/headlights on, the brake lights come on and I hear the shift lockout solenoid kick in. Anyone have any ideas? I just replaced the brake switch just to see if it helps. No change. I have heard about the headlight switch getting gummed up, so a cleaning might be in order. Just seeing if anyone else has had this problem.

All Pro, thanks for your help , mine was a second fuse box under the dash I didn't know I had. you saved the rest of my day and maybe another to the repair shop.
