AM/FM Cassette Radio (stock) Quit Working - 1998 Trooper
Any ideas as to why my factory installed, stock AM/FM cassette radio may have quit working? Scenario: Radio playing fine; tried to change channels and heard beeping like I was setting presets (I wasn't); None of the buttons with presets would work to change station; radio would NOT power off; turned ignition off and on and no change; same as described above. Pulled 20 amp fuse for radio; turned ignition to Accessory and no power to radio at all; replaced the 20 amp with original fuse and tried again - no power to radio. Bought new 20 amp and 10 amp fuse (there are two fuses that relate to audio); tried new fuses to no avail - no power whatsoever to radio.
All other accessories and electrical seem to be working properly - including power mirrors that are powered off of the same 10 amp fuse that powers radio (Acc).
Currently I have new fuses in the 10 and 20 amp audio slots.
Any thoughts or ideas from fellow forum members welcome and appreciated.
